One of the fantabulous things the obscenely hard-working admin staff of the Hollywood Fringe Festival does during the run is send out a team of correspondents armed with handheld camcorders to as many shows as possible to talk to the creator/performers the second they get off stage. At the end of each day they cut the interviews together and slam them up on YouTube. There are over 200 productions at #HFF11 scattered among 35 venues in a one-mile radius, so what the volunteer Fringe Correspondents are doing is not easy.
One of the things I loved doing last year was watching the daily interviews. This year I'm one of them!
My bit shows up at 6:29 (but watch all of us...you will see glimpses of Alexa my love and Abbie my other love and there is a monkey and also you will see Carla Snowden, whose other show last year I loved loved loved and based on that I'm sure her 2011 project also killsalong with Cindy from Voices of Chornobyl, Jr. which rocks).
The management here at BGF Central apologizes for the inconvenience of my giant forehead. And also for missing one of my own talking points! I forgot to say "explores the meaning of Optimus Prime" in the pitch. Arg.
Wondering about Molly Prather? You can find her here.
You can see all of the show interviews from #HFF11 and from Fringe '10 at their YouTube page!
