I leave you with a pic of one of the flowers in The Gardener Of Eden's yard next door. It started blooming this season, and it took him about three years to get the small shrub to make with the flowers. This one's the pink/sunset center one. He's got another with blooms of white/mid-sun center.
Pretty. (Though I must say this picture does not quite capture the subtle gradient of the bloom.)
The Gardener of Eden also makes these wonderful raw concrete tiles which he decorates with impressions of sticks, leaves, skeletons of leaves, pretty much anything that strikes his fancy. We're in negotiations for the set I will need sometime next year. I should have taken a pic of a couple of them while we were transferring the remnants of the 14 foot-tall tree that was until this weekend in one corner of my backyard (he has a fire pit, I have a saw, a 15-lb ax, and aggression - everybody wins), but I forgot.
