Yes, day five since the panel and I am still royally pissed over the sexist, demeaning and dismissive behavior of certain of the panelists in one incident, along with the jaw-dropping cluelessness demonstrated by other of the panelists in the other incident.
ARG. I wanted to take physical notes. I meant to take physical notes. But I was dealing with worker bee duties over the ear bud and could not take panel notes while taking notes/fielding calls/dispatching people for the two streams of stuff related to worker bee duties.
I know who it *wasn't*. I'm not sure who it *was* if that makes sense. I don't want to taint the entire panel as they did not all address the issue. I'm not sure if their silence was due to not having a chance to follow-up, or if it were due to tacit agreement with the statements and approach, or if it was because they wisely realized that keeping mum was the best way not to Make It Worse.
What I'm hoping is the 47-year-old woman whom I spoke with in the hall after she was basically shooed away - and if you were there you should know exactly who I'm talking about, and yes, I'm giving her age for a REASON - gets in touch within the next couple of days. Since she was the catalyst, perhaps she can tell me exactly which one of the three panelists on my Suspects List are the correct ones. If I don't here from her I'll roll with what I have now and figure out a way to correct it, later.
What's sad is that good news was announced in that panel. It was announced that Blokhedz, by Mark and Mike Davis, had been picked up by Simon & Schuster. Fabulous! But for me, the other two incidents overshadowed the rest.
It's a two front war. O Flying Spaghetti Monster, give me strength.
