Anansi Dress Web Detail
This dress is made of linen from the 1970s, part of the Vintage Mom Cloth stash I only dip into for special projects. The web was chain stitched with a gradient grey thread...it is one web covering part of the front, back and one side. I had to stitch in the web on the raw cloth before turning it all into an actual dress. You can only see the web when the light hits it just right. Though I'm very pleased with how that turned out, it pales when compared to the glory of my darts! This dress has MAGNIFICENT darts! (Darts stress me out.)
