Douglas Kearney & Anne LeBaron SciFi Musical July 31 - August 2 @ The RedCat! (aka this week) Hope To See You There!

Before heading off for the ritual 18 Hours Of Sleep, allow me to share this cut/paste:

ANNE LEBARON / DOUGLAS KEARNEY: SUCKTION
Award-winning composer Anne LeBaron and provocative writer Douglas Kearney present the story of a woman’s cyber-erotic transformation from abject housewife into a self-sufficient cyborg in this theatrical song cycle. Written for the ensemble soNu, Sucktion features a female vocalist supported by percussion, laptop and a musical appliance as it traces the radical reinvention of one woman’s persona via the subversive use of a vacuum cleaner.

Douglas Kearney Live @ Redcat On Tuesday (Also Known As Tomorrow)!

Dkfs One should never skip a chance to once again rave about the fabulous  and wicked talented to the max Douglas Kearney, especially when he shall be featured in performance at the RedCat with novelist Steve Erickson tomorrow night, and it's only $8 to get in!

At his website, you can download a free chapbook and other items, or listen to recordings of some of his performances.

This reminds me that I did not write up his last performance at the RedCat which involved him, his lovely wife, two microphones and Indiana Jones. It was hilarious. Must do that. I have pictures! And notes! Somewhere. I'll look.

Meanwhile, here's an arty shot. I'm proud of this one...took it on the fly.

Heh.

Because I haven't gotten around to writing up Douglas & Nicole's performance at the RedCat, you don't know why this is particularly funny. You will once I get to it. Meanwhile, must send this to them!
