Meanwhile, the atheists are gathering in Burbank this weekend. I hope they're not too shocked when they find themselves in Burbank and not Los Angeles. I still don't understand why they're giving an award to a guy who has said he's not actually an atheist and also has said that influenza vaccines are A Bad Thing, except for the part where I kinda get why it made sense to strike right now, seeing as how that documentary did far better than one would think it should have, considering.

I give them credit for sending me a custom banner with a black person on it when I sent an email asking if there's any other promo item available besides the lily white banners originally offered for download at the registration site. (And yes, I did ask nicely, thank you very much.)
Must admit, if I had been able to afford the conference, my tote bag would have been stuffed with Dr. Who stuff and Sharpies in hopes that The Wife was also in attendance and I'd have an opportunity to pounce! God, I am such a fucking geek loser.
