Well, today didn't turn out to be *quite* as bad as the previous Saturday's 275-mile day, but it was hefty enough that all I can do is go to bed immediately. After, of course, a quick post to the blog. (ahahahaha! Once gain Valka is proven right. Every time something like this happens, his words of advice when I first started this site over at the old place ghost in the back of my head.)
A quick scan of the photos from today at Dark Delicacies, where there was a hefty & lively crowd, reveals that I was right in thinking the camera and I were not getting along today. Some are all right, but more of them should be better. I gotta figure out these settings. There was enough ambient light in that room that the flash should not have gone off, and when I kill-switched the flash, the lens should have picked up enough of the light to avoid the slow snap signaling the blurry orange image of doom. Since that's even worse than harsh flash light, most of the time I had to go with the flash. And what the HELL is up with my superpower of snapping AT THE PRECISE SECOND EVERYBODY BLINKS?! This is not a skill I want. I would happily trade in that ability in exchange for everybody being in focus, nobody coming out tinted orange and the whole image nicely composed and balanced. I don't know if I have to be faster, or the camera does. With time I'll figure it out.)
Anywho, you don't care about my Learning Curve grousing. Here's the teaser!

Executive Producer Michelle Brookshire and actor Paul Dion Monte. (For the record, there are three other Ex. Prod. on Awaken the Dead.)

Writer & actor Michael Boatman. (For the record, he is not in Awaken the Dead.)
More, later, when I've had time to sift through the pics, pick the best ones and properly caption. Probably won't get around to posting the full set until mid-week. Possible that I will split them over two different posts, as it turned out that there were two events going on in the store today.
Tomorrow, when I'm functional again, I will finally be able to see the movie! Baking with zombies! I owe various & sundry cookies, a lemon tart, dinner rolls, and a garlic/spinach/mozzarella quiche. Since there was no time to turn on the oven today, tomorrow will be spent in the kitchen. With zombies on the dvd! I hope I don't slip up and put braaiiiiiins in the quiche.
Okay, to be perfectly honest, the first thing I'm going to do is fast forward through it to see if I spot Myself anywhere in the background. THEN I'll watch the movie, probably several times while cooking.
