A Thanks To The Collective
Wow. Sometimes, like the past few days, checking the inbox is kinda fun.
Okay. It's just faster this way. Apologies for the sense of impersonal...
Thanks to those who are known and not known to me for your input in trying to nail down who said what at the black panel, as well as sharing your general thoughts. I'm on firm factual ground now, and thank you very much for helping me get there. Again, apologies for the uber-aggressive spamblocker, but I greatly appreciate those of you who resent your notes trying to get through. Keep it coming if you like, but I've got enough to go with, now.
And for the few who are offering unsolicited advice of Silence out of "respect" for some sort of Raised Fist sense of solidarity? You are obviously not paying attention to what goes on here at BGF Central and probably should have stopped reading this blog a loooooong time ago. I offer this -- "No march, movement, or agenda that defines manhood in the narrowest terms and seeks to make women lesser partners in this quest for equality can be considered a positive step." -- and leave it to you to work out who said it. If you don't like that one, how about this? "Any form of art is a form of power; it has impact, it can affect change--it can not only move us, it makes us move." Maybe you'll find the source of this one a little more acceptable. Ooo! I know! This one! "All progress is precarious, and the solution of one problem brings us face to face with another problem." I mean, who can POSSIBLY argue with the source of that one?
Get what I'm getting at? No? Then it's best you take your "be silent" and fuck off.
More by the end of this weekend, or early in the next week at the latest. I have to go weed my pretty new garden.
