Artificial Afrika explores the contemporary western (mis) appropriation of material and popular culture that is borne from reductive notions of Africa and its diasporic populations. The exhibition reconciles the still thriving preponderance of visual and  cultural oversimplifications of the continent with the actual
historic and present-day realities of Africa and those associated with its diaspora.
